Why was Keener Teacher Inc. created?
Keener Teacher Inc. was created out of necessity. Our founder, Jennifer Gauthier, has been selling her teaching resources on other platforms since 2020. Jennifer was frustrated by the limited options for Canadian teachers. She had the idea to create a platform that offered:
- A place for solely Canadian teachers to buy/sell their products
- Products to be sold in Canadian Dollars (CAD)
- Teachers to filter searches by province/territory
- Teachers to use Canadian spelling and the metric system within their products without the fear of poor reviews from US buyers
Who founded Keener Teacher Inc.?
Jennifer Gauthier founded Keener Teacher Inc. in 2023. She graduated from Bishop’s University in the Eastern Townships of Quebec in 2014. Since then, she has taught within the primary grade levels in both London, England and Montreal, Quebec. She began selling her teaching resources while sequestered at home during the pandemic. She grew a passion for creating teaching resources online. She knows that the best teaching resources come from teachers. Jennifer thought of the idea for Keener Teacher Inc. in October 2022. Once the idea was planted, she has been working towards the goal of creating an online space for Canadian Educators to contribute and learn from one another.
